Cessna 172
The Cessna 172 is an excellent airplane for multipurpose use as it is a 4 place (4 seat) airplane, with a cruise speed of 120 MPH. As airplanes go, it is inexpensive to maintain and to operate, making it attractive for use as a training aircraft as well.
This airplane is our first addition to our aviation ministry. All of our training and cross country flights during the first two years of the ministry were made in this airplane. This includes a tract drop in Nicaragua and numerous trips to ministries here in the USA.
When we purchased the airplane it had just recently been repainted, refurbished inside with a new leather interior. The engine had 450 hours of time on it and is rated for 2000 hours between overhauls. Due to these factors, we felt this was the wisest use of the Lord's money for a startup aircraft. We have carefully maintained this airplane and it has served us well. We are looking forward to many years of service, but we are also looking up for our Lord's return at any moment. The time may be short so we want to be prepared to do His will as long as we are here, which is to further His work and be a blessing to others!
