Statement of Doctrine
We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and Glory and having the same attributes and perfections. (Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired Word of God, given through the direct guiding of holy men of old by the Holy Spirit, and that these Scriptures are the final authority for faith and life. They are inerrant, infallible, God-breathed and complete in their revelation of God to man. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Matthew 5:18; 2 Peter 1:20; John 16:12-13; Revelation 22:18-19)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men. (John 1: 1, 2, 14; Luke 1:35)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through the shedding of His blood on the cross of Calvary and His subsequent death; that His death was a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; and our justification before God is made certain by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead. (Romans 3:24-25; 1 Peter 1:1-19; 2:24; Ephesians 1:7)
We further believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of the Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate. (Acts 1:9-10; Hebrews 9:24; Romans 8:34; 1 John 2:1-2)
We believe that man was created by God in the image and likeness of God, perfect and complete, yet innocent; but in Adam's sin of disobedience to God's specific command, the race of man fell, inherited a sinful nature and became alienated from God; and mankind is totally depraved of himself utterly unable to remedy his lost condition and separation from God. (Genesis 1:26-27; Ephesians 2:1-3, 12; Romans 3:22-23, 5:12)
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by the grace of God and received by personal repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His completed work at Calvary, that is, the shedding of His precious blood for the forgiveness of our sins. (Ephesians 1:7, 2:8-9; 1 John 1:12; 1 Peter 1:18-19)
We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God's power and are thus secure in Christ forever (John 6:37-40; 10:27-30; Romans 8:15, 38, 39; 1 Corinthians 1:4-8; 1 Peter 1:5). We further believe that it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the testimony of God's Word, which, however, clearly forbids the use of our Christian liberty as an occasion to the flesh. (Romans 13:13-14; Galatians 5:13; Titus 2:11-15)
We believe The Church, which is the body and the espoused Bride of Christ, is a local, visible assembly of called out, baptized believers who have covenanted together to honor the Lord according to Ephesians 3:21, and not all the born-again people of this present age. (Ephesians 1:22-23; 5:25-27; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; 2 Corinthians 11:2)
We believe that the establishment, continuance, and administration of local assemblies (Local Churches) is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament writings. (Acts 14:27; 20:17, 38-40; 1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11)
We further believe that the Lord Jesus Christ left only two ordinances to be observed by His local Churches in commemoration of His person and work, that is; (1) baptism by complete immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and (2) the partaking of the Lord’s Supper (Unleavened bread and the Fruit of the vine...juice). (Matthew 28:19, 20; Acts 2:41, 46, 47, 16:33; 1 Corinthians 11:23-32)
We also believe that no person is qualified to be a participant in either of these two ordinances unless they have been born-again from above by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and are a part of, i.e., a member of, the local church that is observing the ordinances.
We believe that Jesus Christ is LORD of the church and LORD of each individual Christian. (Romans 10:12-13; Acts 2:36; 1 Corinthians 2:8, 12:3)
We believe that Christ executes that Lordship in Salvation (Acts 2:47; Romans 10:13), in Sanctification (1 Corinthians 6:11), in Blessing (Ephesians 1:2-3), and in Chastening. (Hebrews 12:6-8)
We believe it is the duty and obligation of the redeemed to witness by their own life and by word of mouth to the truths of Holy Scriptures and seek all means possible to proclaim the gospel to all mankind. (Romans 12:1-2; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 5:19-20)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all mankind: the redeemed to eternal and everlasting life in the presence of God, the unredeemed to judgment and eternal and everlasting punishment. (Matthew 25:46; John 5:28, 29, 11:25-26; Revelation 20:5-6, 13)
We further believe these will be two distinct resurrections, that is, the first resurrection will be that of the believers (1 Corinthians 15:23); the second will be that of the unbelievers at the end of the thousand-year reign of Christ. (Revelation 20:11-15)
We believe, in accordance to the Holy Scriptures, in the certain return of our Lord Jesus Christ; that His second coming will be in two distinct and separate phases; that is firstly, His coming "FOR" His saints and His espoused Bride, The Church, prior to the beginning of the Tribulation, such appearing and return to be in the clouds and in the air. (1 Corinthians 15:51-57; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, 5:9-11; Revelation 3:10, 4:1)
This appearing constitutes the "Blessed Hope" set before us and for which we should be constantly looking (1 Corinthians 15:51-57). Secondly, He will come "WITH" His saints in a literal, bodily personal return to set foot upon the earth, which will consummate the Tribulation period and commence the thousand year reign of Christ, as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, here upon the earth. (Matthew 24:27, 30, 44; John 14:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; Revelation 19:11-19)
We believe the person of the Holy Spirit is co-equal with God the Father and God the Son (1 John 5:7). His ministry is to regenerate (John 3:3-5), indwell (1 Corinthians 6:19), seal (Ephesians 1:13-14; 2 Corinthians 5:5), fill (Ephesians 5:18), empower (Romans 8:2-4), and to guide the believer. (Galatians 5:16, 25)
We do not believe in a general judgment. We believe the saved will appear at the Judgment Seat of Christ to be judged for their works (1 Corinthians 3:12-15; 2 Corinthians 5:10), and the unsaved will appear before the Great White Throne Judgment to be judged for their works (Revelation 20:11-15). The two are different in time and kind.
We accept no other version of the Bible other than the King James Version. It will be the only translation accepted in the pulpit or used by any Sunday School Teacher or training program in the Church.
