Faith Baptist Church Aviation Ministry
September 2009
Dear Pastor and praying friends,
As the year of 2009 is moving rapidly along, here in the Ozarks we have had an unusual "late summer" with our weather being exceptionly cool and rainy. Our trees aren’t fooled by the weather though, because the Lord has told them winter is coming and it's time for the leaves to change color. It serves to remind of two things, The Lord promised in Genesis that as long as the world remains that the seasons would remain and....that time is rapidly approaching for the Lord's return!!! Every soul saved and every person we can influence to love and serve the Lord is the reason for my service to the King!
We have had to slow down a bit during August and most of this month to recover from cataract surgery which has gone real well. Thanks so much for all the prayers and cards and I trust the improvement will enable me to do more for the Lord in the remainder of the year or until Jesus comes if that happens before then! I was limited in lifting not more than 20# but since tracts weigh much less I have been busy doing survey visitation in several smaller towns here in the area seeking the Lord's leadership in starting another work while I am recuperating. So far we have had a good response from an area where two towns are located about 5 miles apart (Valley Springs & Western Grove) and are following up on these leads. Please remember us in your prayers as we look to the future. Also please continue to pray for Bro. Paul in the work at Springdale. He is a good, dependable man and we are thankful for his labor in that mission as they proceed along toward organization as a church. It is exciting to see the Lord work even with all the confusion men are facing in our land! Please continue to lift up the aviation ministry. We have had to put our flying on hold while having our eyes worked on but I will soon have to take my aviation medical (in October) and I needed new glasses to accomplish that so with God's blessings we look forward to getting back in action soon. Bro Mike, the brother we have been training, needed to take some time off for personal reasons so it worked out well with the personal needs I had and we agreed to resume as soon as everything is behind us. Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and support and we pray for each of you that the Lord's richest blessings will be upon you and the work you are doing for the Master!
