Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are the present and future goals of this ministry?
We presently are making our ministry available on a first come basis and all decisions as to scheduling, availability, etc., are being made by the local pastors and churches that are part of the ministry. Our present goal is to offer flight training to missionaries and Christian workers and to provide flights for mission projects as the demand arises. Our future goal is to expand these flights as God provides the aircraft and funds to do so. We would also like to expand our training ministry with the ability to provide in-house testing, and increase the number of persons on our staff that are instructors to cover the special needs of the students.
2. How does Faith Baptist Aviation Ministry function?
We are a local, unaffiliated Baptist Church and all decisions are made under the authority and under the direction of our Pastor, James Mohler. Bro. Watt is the director and our Aviation Missionary, and is a member of Faith Baptist Church in Spokane.
3. What special needs does the ministry have?
We presently have four aircraft in our ministry. All of these aircraft are single engine, and if we are to expand our long distance mission flights, the Lord has impressed our hearts with the need for a twin engine aircraft. In the area of training, we are praying that we can sell or exchange one of our training aircraft for an STOL type of aircraft to better and more efficiently train our missionaries to fly into rough and unimproved airfields, We are also praying that the Lord will supply an A&P mechanic to help us. As the ministry grows, there is an increased need for maintenance, and an in-house mechanic is a must.
4. Is it possible to be an active part of the Ministry?
Yes. As the ministry continues to expand, the need for dedicated people increases. Anyone who is interested in actively helping us, please contact us and let us know how God is leading you and the special part you feel led to do for His glory!
5. If we have an aviation need how do I go about contacting the ministry?
Contact Pastor Mohler at (417) 443-3015, or Bro. Watt at (870) 391-1705. You may also contact Bro. Watt at the e-mail address provided in the sidebar.
6. What are the costs involved if I utilize the services of the ministry?
With the ever-changing prices of fuel, etc., we have decided to customize each flight accordingly and pricing will reflect this. Our ministry is a Not-for-Profit ministry and we are seeking to minister to you, not run a business for profit. Our desire is to be a blessing to you while still operating our aircraft on a cost-effective basis. Be sure to call the numbers listed in Question 5 for additional information!
7. I would like to support this ministry. How do I go about it?
Our very first and most important need of the ministry is the prayers of God’s people. Additionally, if you have any aircraft engines, parts, tools, radios, etc you would like to donate, we will be glad to receive them, and as the church has a 501 3(C) they will be eligible for a tax exemption. Likewise if you have aircraft that you would like to donate to the Ministry we would deeply appreciate the gift and as mentioned above we will send you the church’s receipt for tax purposes. If you have an airplane that you are not flying or perhaps have lost your medical and can’t fly, pray with us for the Lord's direction as to His will and we will help in any way that we can. This includes all aircraft, whether in annual or not, twins, singles, certified or experimental. Also, If you would like to donate financially please feel free to do so. Our mailing address is:
